Hey Michael thanks for this great post. It's ironic to me that this question 'What does he really mean by that?' is the very question I ask when breaking down a script. Perhaps we become so used to asking the question anyway we ask it in every area of life and work, hence the obsession. On another note, any thoughts about dealing with a lay off after surgery and returning to auditions etc . Obviously the 'when' is an individual matter, but the 'how to manage it' is what I'm interested in. Thanks.

I can't even tell you how many times I found myself questioning a "perfect performance" after not getting the role. As CD's give you their opinion, it's good to be grateful for feedback and keep moving on to the next audition because: You're not getting the F***ing Job!
