Michael I found this uplifting and inspiring. Also it prompted reminders of when Ive fallen short, certainly. Know better, do better, I guess. And even if we've never been the leading actor we can adopt the helpful behaviour where it's appropriate for the good of the whole and beyond.

So true. I had the good fortune to have hadan agent that really supported me and my work. She came to rehearsal of a show that I was the lead in. However one of the supporting players had worked a number of times with the director and producer and felt that in a theater that had been newly built and publicized, he should have had my role. And did what he could to undermine my performance including not pulling a couple of punches on my midsection that were, as per the script, a surprise to me and not returned. On one such hit I literally dislocated my shoulder and if we're not for a Carpenters strike, which delayed the opening…

100% Was so fortunate to spend over two years on the road with a company led by Richard Thomas. His behaviour had the greatest positive impact on the entire experience. He clearly understood what it was to lead.
