Every time you talk about this, I ask myself if I'm always going for the obvious choice. I think I do it a lot. I'd like to see myself going for other choices more often than I do.

Good tips as always! Like the analogy of looking at it like a puzzle (love puzzles, not crosswords per se!) and asking “What else could it be?”. Think outside the box while staying true to the writer’s intentions. 👍🏻

Such a good reminder and great analogy to crossword puzzles! Having this mindset going in gives you the easiest and most accessible window into making uniquely interesting, provocative yet logical choices, that ultimately make the whole play better, not just your performance. THANK you for this :)

This was one of my favorite parts of training with you, asking "What else could it be?" It just made audition prep so much more fun and engaging.
