Regarding the acting business, I very much try to embrace the thrill of possibility that comes from all the uncertainty.

Great news that you are moving to Vancouver - welcome to our fair city and a great time to make a move. I liked your thoughts on community theatre: I believe I participated in some 70 shows over many decades when I had conventional jobs and only turned pro in my 70s and got my Union card in late 70s. I'm trying to stay positive in these uncertain times with (obviously) fewer opportunities but hope springs eternal. Good luck with the move!!

The only consistent thing is change. I moved away from aspiration for a professional career to doing this for fun! The career I moved into (construction/maintenance) is just about as flaky as an acting career can be, but I thrived in it. Best wishes on your move to Vancouver!
