Thinking while you listen, that's a good one, but a tough one too. If I'm not totally off book, I'm thinking more about my lines than anything else :)

As an actor, we all should be listening to the other person. That is how we converse normally. I've known people in real life that are only thinking about what they are going to say next and it is really hard to talk to them. Same applies on stage (or film). That is how you stay fresh performance to performance, by actively listening. I've had some good teachers/coaches that emphasize listening. Thanks for reminding us.

Love it! Another reminder a scene is about relationships (interacting with humans), not just your character. 💕 And you definitely nail “Lawyer”!
I LOVE THIS MICHAEL AND
OF COURSE WE'RE ALWAYS TAUGHT
AS ACTORS TO "TAKE A JOURNEY" WITH
THE OTHER ACTOR AS THEY'RE TALKING
TO US ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE'S A
MONOLOGUE INVOLVED BUT I NEVER
HEARD IT THIS WAY BEFORE. THANK
YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS AMAZING
NEW WAY TO LOOK AT IT. I WILL
USE IT.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING MY FRIEND.
BEST, SONIA TORRES
