I agree with you that talent is innate and skill is developed over time. I think that our business is so subjective that a person can be successful in it regardless of their perceived level of talent.

Who the HELL thinks you have no talent? lol! Please. You're a gift to the theatre and the screen. "If a whole lot of people said I was not talented, I'd still have to be an actor." Yup. Actually "talent" is a matter of taste, happenstance and the vicissitudes of the culture in a particular moment in time. Your calling as an actor withstands time and is a constant. I think it would be nice to know wht ur fellow actors and friends think if u are talented or not..just ask..ask for honest feedback..only if u want to know 😂😂sometimes it might be best for ur mental health if u never know...i think if alot of random people say u talent then it probably true..

I agree that talent is innate and skill is learned, but if you have no skill in your talent, where does that get you?

Maybe talent is "potential" and skill is the realization of that talent. The more natural talent you have, the more it will be demonstrated with the skills acquired.

Irrespective of what talent one may or may not have, whether as a "true artist" or a "bullshit artist," it's the skills that'll make or break one, I suspect.

So, at the end of the day, it's the practice that…
