Thank you thank you thank you! I’m right I’m right in the middle of the doldrums wondering if I should “renew my contract.” I’m completely uninspired and feel uncomfortable sitting with those feelings.

Thanks for this, it definitely applies to my situation. It's good to know that I've been doing the right thing in spite of "results". Among the things I'm doing is playing in a Beatles tribute band I helped found. Has it stretched me? Well, I'm playing bass and singing (mostly) Paul's parts. So, yes...I've grown quite a bit - from someone who rarely sang in public to singing Paul's high harmonies...yeah, while playing those mid/late Beatles bass lines. When I get the occasional audition I'm excited to act on a Tuesday. Meanwhile, my creativity has an outlet and I'm using performance muscles of a different sort. Still reading, rehearsing, and recording auditions and scenes to keep the acting chops honed…
