I try not to say sorry. I treat others in the casting process as equals. My manager doesn't like it when I "push back," whatever that means, but I state my opinion on things. Thanks for the video Michael.

To restate it just a bit… It’s really true throughout life that people will tend to take you at your evaluation of yourself. Understand that if you see yourself as valuable (or not), your body language and speech patterns will reflect this whether you intend them to or not, and others will just instinctively and unconsciously respond accordingly. I learned this many years ago, and though I sometimes slip into old and unhelpful patterns, knowing it has been a big eye-opener.
The flip side is to remember this in your acting, and make it part of your character-development process. If your character is kind of mousy, for example, make sure not just your diction and inflection, but your whole body projects mousy-ness.
