Very much agree. Most of the times someone's told me I made a bold choice, I just... made a choice I felt was right for the character they'd given me, and I guess they just liked what I did. I wasn't trying to edit the character to be 'different enough to be noticed.' That just seems less like acting to me and more attention-seeking.
