Great info! Not a union member now but have been in other industries. This is a problem nationwide and in all unions. Some people view union rules as restrictions on their "freedom", not realizing there was a reason for that rule to have been negoiated in the first place. The way to get something changed for the good of all (which is the purpose of the union) is to talk about it with other members and bring it up to leadership to get it added to the agenda for renegotiation. It is a lot of work and it still may not get resolved to your satisfaction but that does not mean you can just ignore it if you want. Thanks…
